Daydreaming didn’t work

The day I realized it was over

It was too late

The sun had already risen to begin another day

A page turned with out folded corners

Giving up I cry

It’s all flown by at hyper speed

New technologies provide the hurdles to jump over

Run fast and close your eyes

Beware of the fifty foot drop,

Pretend you are flying

Soaring through the clouds in the atmosphere

Reaching for the sun, moon, and stars

Faster you are slipping

Thriving from your disrepair she grabs your hand

Pulls you over the edge

Only you’re…awake

It was too late

When I become conscious it was over
